Ebru 'Elagoz' Marbled Collection

Each piece in this collection was created by Ozkan Elagoz.

Ebru Art: Since the 17thC, the art of marbling paper was the     domain of the Ottoman Empire. From ethereal cloud like forms to detailed drawings; it is an art form reserved for the most patient. The Ebru patterns are carefully assembled on the liquid surface, but there are always surprises when the paper is lifted. Finished pieces represent a collaboration between will and chance, between the artist and forces beyond the artist’s control.

For centuries this art was restricted to paper, until now. Ozkan Elagoz, the maker of these pieces, is the only person in the world to have mastered the art of Ebru on ceramics and the results are incredible.

We at Nomadic Son feel extremely humbled and blessed to be able to offer you a piece of unique art not available anywhere else in the world.
